Built anonymous by default.
Private by design.
This policy explains how SnapAbs ("we", "us", "our") handles your information when you use the SnapAbs app on iOS or Android ("the App"). SnapAbs is designed to work without traditional accounts — no email, password, or phone number is required to scan.
Accounts & sign-in
When you first open the App, we create an anonymous account with a random identifier and a generated display name (for example, "Brave Fox"). It is not linked to your name, email, or phone number.
Signing in is optional and exists so your data can continue across devices. You may choose Apple, Google, or an email code (a 6-digit one-time passcode). We never receive or store the passwords for your Apple or Google accounts, and we only store the email address you use if you choose to sign in.
Information we collect
-
badge
Anonymous account identifier. A random identifier and generated display name created on first launch.
-
mail
Email (only if you sign in). Used solely to send your sign-in code and keep your data accessible across devices.
-
person
Profile details you enter. Display name, gender, age, height, weight, goals, training frequency and location, and obstacles you choose during onboarding.
-
photo_camera
Body scan photos. Photos you take of your midsection for AI analysis. Photos are captured only when you actively use the scan feature — the App never captures images in the background.
-
monitor_heart
Scan results. The analysis produced from your photos: zone scores, estimated body-fat range, symmetry reads, and coaching notes.
-
fitness_center
Fitness and nutrition logs. Workout sessions, streaks, and food entries you record in the App.
-
speed
Usage counts. Numbers tied to your plan (for example, scans used per day or month) so we can enforce limits and credits.
-
verified_user
Purchase status. Whether a subscription is active, expired, or cancelled, confirmed through our billing provider. We do not collect your payment card details.
-
devices
Device and install information. App version, operating system, device model, and basic request details (such as IP address) used to run the App, handle requests, and fix issues.
No social feed is populated from your scan, and no targeted-ad SDKs appear in the scan flow.
How your scan photos are handled
-
lock
Photos are stored in private, access-controlled storage that is not publicly accessible.
-
memory
To produce your analysis, a photo is processed by our AI systems for the sole purpose of returning your scan results.
-
people_alt
Photos are never shared with other users, never made public, and never used for advertising.
-
face_retouching_off
We do not use facial recognition and do not attempt to identify you from uploaded images.
-
videocam_off
SnapAbs processes still-photo scans only. We do not offer or process video analysis.
-
delete_forever
Deleting your account permanently removes your photos from our storage.
What we do not do
- block We do not sell your personal information.
- block We do not target ads using your scans or personal data.
- block We do not publish your body scans.
- block We do not identify you from photos via facial recognition.
Data retention & deletion
Your account content is retained while your anonymous account exists. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete Account in the App.
Deletion removes your account, profile, scan photos, scan results, workout history, and food logs. Service providers and billing partners may retain limited records where required for billing, fraud prevention, accounting, or legal compliance, and analytics-style records may be kept in aggregated or de-identified form.
Because accounts are anonymous, uninstalling the App without deleting your account may leave data we can no longer associate with you; reach out and we will help remove it.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Scan photos live in private storage with access controls, reachable only for the purpose of returning your analysis. No system is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and limit who can access it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
Most of these can be exercised directly in the App — viewing your data or deleting your account. For anything else, contact us and we will respond within 30 days.
Health disclaimer
SnapAbs provides AI-generated fitness estimates, including body-fat ranges and zone scores. These are estimates for motivational and informational purposes only — they are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Consult a qualified health professional before making significant changes to your diet or exercise routine.
Children
SnapAbs is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe we have received data from a child under 13, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the App evolves. Material changes are reflected by the effective date above and, where appropriate, notice within the App. The effective date is September 24, 2026.
